New Finds!

Three wonderful vintage typewriter stands! One has a wooden top and another has terrific, beefy wheel guards. So industrial and practical, too. The uses are endless as are the possibilities to embellish.

Winter Wonderland, really?

We are working hard in the shop and having fun, too. We even got a bit of spray painting done by keeping the paint in the warm house then just dashing out into the cold to quickly spray for a few minutes before returning inside with the paint. Yeah, we would love for it to be warmer. They are calling for snow the next few days though so.... sigh.

Kristin is working full time at the shop and things are really getting done. Two to inspire and balance each other is wonderful.

New Series

We're in the middle of doing a custom dresser for a client.  This got us thinking that maybe we should do a whole series of really interesting, one-of-a-kind dressers.  I'm pretty excited about this!  Stay tuned for in progress photos.  :-)

Another mid century piece finished.

This chair is a blood red orange with vintage fabric on the seat.  We love the elegant shape and line of the chair and how it lends itself to bold colors and patterns.  This would make a fabulous kitchen/office chair.  It is very sturdy, a roomy seat, and comfy to boot.  Now, I am focusing on a couple dressers and this amazing 1930's or 40's nightstand.  I envision a real, red chocolate brown with silver details.  Yum!  Maybe I am getting in the Christmas spirit; I do love all the goodies and chocolate that come with it.  I better not eat the paint.  What a chocoholic!!!

Are you ready for the holiday season? Not me!!!

Oh, no.  December just broke on the calender and I am stunned by the oncoming holidays.  So much to do and I so want to do it well or not at all.  Perfection is such a waste of time, isn't it?
